· Attack
Los Molinos (offshore)
A UK man was downwind hydrofoil surfing (paddleboarding) approximately two miles west of the coast of Los Molinos in open waters when an 8-foot Mako shark first attacked his board before biting his leg, leaving deep wounds above the knee. The surfer managed to get back to shore on his own and was treated by emergency services. He is expected to make a full recovery.
