Puerto del Rosario shoppers receive €4,000 in gift vouchers
Sixteen €250 gift vouchers were awarded on 30 October after the fifth Puerto del Rosario local shopping campaign.
Shoppers in Puerto del Rosario received €4,000 in gift vouchers on 30 October 2026. The awards marked the end of the fifth “Busca la Suerte en el Corazón” campaign.
The Asociación Empresarios Puerto del Rosario awarded 16 vouchers worth €250 each. The winners had shopped at businesses taking part in the campaign in Fuerteventura’s capital.
The campaign ran from 8 to 28 October. Customers who spent €10 or more at shops taking part had a chance to win a voucher. Entries have now closed.
Prizes to support local spending
The business association organised the campaign, with sponsorship from Puerto del Rosario council. The vouchers aim to bring the prize money back into the town’s shops and businesses by encouraging more local spending.
Association president Daniela Plotegher attended the prize presentation. Tourism councillor Rosa Rodríguez and beaches councillor Toñi Fernández joined her on behalf of the council.
Plotegher said the campaign helped encourage residents to keep supporting local shops. She thanked the businesses taking part and the council for their support.
Rodríguez stressed the role of local shops and businesses in the capital’s economy and daily life. Fernández said the council supported efforts to work with businesses to encourage local shopping.
The presentation brought this year’s campaign to a close.
