Fuerteventura offers free online AI training for teachers in November
The Cabildo’s November 2026 programme will help teachers use AI in class and guide students on safe use. Session dates and sign-up details are online.
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura has announced free online training for teachers in November 2026. The sessions will show teachers how to plan lessons and create teaching materials with artificial intelligence (AI). They will also cover how to help students use AI responsibly.
The training was announced on 4 November. It is the latest part of ‘FuerteventurIA. Inteligencia Artificial para Todos’, which means ‘Artificial Intelligence for Everyone’. The Cabildo’s New Technologies department leads the project. It runs it with the Clúster Canarias Excelencia Tecnológica.
What the programme covers
Designed by and for teachers, the programme starts with a session to share ideas and offer inspiration. Two practical courses follow. One shows teachers how to create teaching content with AI. The other covers the responsible and ethical use of AI.
The Cabildo says the aim is to give teachers tools for use in class and cut the time they spend planning lessons. Councillor Carmen Alonso said the sessions would show teachers how to create teaching resources. They would also show teachers how to help students use AI safely and think critically about it.
Dates and registration
Teachers can check session dates and read the full programme on the Clúster Canarias Excelencia Tecnológica’s teacher-training page. The page also explains how to sign up. The Cabildo’s announcement does not give dates for each session.
The project follows earlier AI training for public sector staff, small and medium-sized businesses, and entrepreneurs. It receives FDCAN funding through the Cabildo’s agreement with the technology cluster.
