Fuerteventura holds London tourism talks ahead of December Heathrow route launch
British Airways plans to start twice-weekly Heathrow–Fuerteventura flights on 13 December 2026, the Cabildo said in an update on tourism talks in London.
British Airways plans to launch its new route from London Heathrow to Fuerteventura on 13 December 2026. There will be two flights a week, according to the Cabildo. The island authority shared the details in an update on tourism talks held in London on 4 November. It did not give flight days, times or fares.
Marlene Figueroa met teams from British Airways and Jet2 Holidays at the World Travel Market (WTM). She is the Cabildo’s tourism councillor and deputy head of the island tourism board. She also held talks with Grupo Galaxi, Karpaten Romania and Bravo Tours Denmark.
Joint island presence in London
The Fuerteventura tourism board took part under the Turismo Islas Canarias umbrella at the Promotur Canarias stand. Teams from Antigua, La Oliva and Pájara joined local tourism businesses at the fair.
Figueroa said the fair offered direct contact with firms that sell holidays to Fuerteventura and airlines that serve the island. She said the talks were part of ongoing work to plan and guide each season’s promotion. She also stressed that local councils and businesses were taking part together.
The tourism board’s programme was due to continue on 5 November, the last day of the fair. The update did not report any further route deals from the talks.
